Close friends and collaborators for many years, we (Rosana and Robin) began offering women’s retreats together in 2006.
We find spectacular, natural environments with simple, gracious facilities. Then we invite women to join us for a week of rest, renewal, laughter and love.
Rosana Azar, artist and educator, brings an infectious passion for creativity, art and life to her work. In 1991, she immigrated to the U.S. from Argentina with her family and continues her international career as a renowned painter. Her work has been exhibited in Paris, Berlin, Bucharest, Prague, and New York. Rosana has presented many workshops nationally and internationally, including at the Washington National Cathedral. Since 1997, she’s been the Executive Director of Creative Adventures, Inc., based in Silver Spring, MD, a non-proﬁt which brings the arts to public school children and teachers. Robin Carnes, once a corporate consultant, is Co-Founder of Warriors at Ease, a non-profit that trains yoga and meditation teachers around the world to work in military communities. She has a trauma-focused private yoga therapy practice in Silver Spring, MD, and is a teacher trainer of iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation. Robin has presented many workshops nationally and internationally, including at the Washington National Cathedral. She is co-author of Sacred Circles: A Guide to Creating Your Own Women’s Spirituality Group. Her work has been featured in Woman’s Day Magazine, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, and Yoga Journal.
